Spinners Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone put an all-round show as the duo first picked five wickets among them and then had a crucial unbeaten 24-run stand for the sixth wicket as Warriorz chased down 128 with three balls to spare.

Invited to bat, Mumbai Indians were all out for 127 in 20 overs with opener Hayley Matthews top-scoring with a 35 off 30 balls. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Issy Wong made 25 and 32 respectively.
Spinners dominated the show as Deepi bowled a 2/35 while Ecclestone put herself right at the top of the Purple Cap race with a 3/15 spell. Left-arm orthodox Rajeshwari Gayakwad had a good spell to as she bowled 2/16.
Deepti Sharma also crucially effected two run outs during her spell.
The UP side chased down the target of 128 with three balls to spare, reaching 129 for 5 in 19.3 overs.
Grace Harris top-scored for UP Warriorz with 39 while Tahlia McGrath contributed 38. Ecclestone then scored a 16* while Sharma scored a 13* during their match-winning small but effective partnership.
For Mumbai, Amelia Kerr took two wickets for 22 runs while Issy Wong, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews took a scalp each. This was MI’s first defeat in the league.
