Mohammed Siraj gave an early blow to Australia in IND vs AUS 1st ODI by dismissing Travis Head in his opening over itself. Siraj bowled the 2nd over for India and grabbed the wicket of Travis Head on the last ball of the over, crushing him for just 5 runs.

India won the toss in IND vs AUS 1st ODI and opted to bowl first. The match takes place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Hardik Pandya is the skipper of Team India in the match while Steve Smith leads Australia.

Watch: Mohammed Siraj Castles Travis Head With A Stunning Delivery

Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh opened the innings for Australia in the match. In the first over of Mohammed Shami, the duo managed to score just 1 run. Later, Mohammed Siraj dismissed Travis Head in the 2nd over, with a good length delivery that hit the left-hander’s leg stumps. Have a look at the video below.

Travis Head could only score 5 runs off 10 balls before losing his wicket to Mohammed Siraj. Earlier, he scored a boundary against Siraj but in the end, the Indian pacer emerged as the ultimate winner after dismissing the Australian opener. After Head’s dismissal, Steve Smith came out to bat.

Meanwhile, David Warner has been kept out of the playing XI by Australia in the 1st ODI. Their playing XI comprises Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Inglis in the middle order. The latter is also the wicketkeeper in the match. All-rounders Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Cameron Green are also part of the playing XI. Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc, and Adam Zampa are part of the bowling department.

For India, Kuldeep Yadav has been picked as a spinner in the playing XI instead of Yuzvendra Chahal. Shardul Thakur, who was not part of the Test series against Australia, is part of the 1st ODI. Axar Patel is not part of the team while Ravindra Jadeja will play as an all-rounder.
