Travis Head could only score 5 runs off 10 balls before losing his wicket to Mohammed Siraj. Earlier, he scored a boundary against Siraj but in the end, the Indian pacer emerged as the ultimate winner after dismissing the Australian opener. After Head’s dismissal, Steve Smith came out to bat.

Meanwhile, David Warner has been kept out of the playing XI by Australia in the 1st ODI. Their playing XI comprises Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Inglis in the middle order. The latter is also the wicketkeeper in the match. All-rounders Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, and Cameron Green are also part of the playing XI. Sean Abbott, Mitchell Starc, and Adam Zampa are part of the bowling department.
For India, Kuldeep Yadav has been picked as a spinner in the playing XI instead of Yuzvendra Chahal. Shardul Thakur, who was not part of the Test series against Australia, is part of the 1st ODI. Axar Patel is not part of the team while Ravindra Jadeja will play as an all-rounder.
