Ireland is yet to get a direct qualification for ICC ODI World Cup 2023. If they beat Bangladesh in the ODI series 3-0, they will manage to get a direct entry into the tournament. Otherwise, they will have to play qualifiers in Zimbabwe in June-July.

India is set to face Australia in ICC World Test Championship in June this year, which is their next international campaign after India vs Australia series. Indian players will be busy with IPL 2023 ahead of the WTC final. Last year, India sent a second-string squad on an Ireland tour. This time, a similar strategy can be expected as BCCI’s focus is on ODIs due to ODI World Cup 2023.
