PSL 2023 final has been rescheduled by Pakistan Cricket Board due to bad weather forecasts. Earlier, the PSL 2023 final was scheduled to take place on March 19 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Now, the final will be played one day earlier on March 18. However, the venue of the clash will be the same.
Earlier, Multan Sultans, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, and Islamabad United were the four teams that qualified for playoffs. Out of these, Islamabad United has been eliminated after losing the Eliminator 1 match to Peshawar Zalmi. Multan Sultans have reached the final after winning the Qualifier match.

PSL 2023 Final Date Rescheduled To March 18
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released an official statement in which they informed that PSL 2023 has been rescheduled to March 18 instead of March 19, but the venue of the clash will be the same. They also informed that March 19 and 20 will be treated as reserve days.
“After taking into consideration bad weather forecast over the coming days, the Pakistan Cricket Board has decided to hold the HBL PSL 8 final on Saturday, 18 March, at the Gaddafi Stadium with Sunday and Monday to be treated as reserve days. The final was scheduled earlier for Sunday, 19 March in Lahore,” PCB said in the statement.

PCB chief Najam Sethi also said that all teams part of the playoffs agreed to the decision.
“The HBL PSL 8 is our marquee event. All the teams aim and prepare whole year to not only feature in the final but to lift the Supernove Trophy, while the passionate cricket fans also wait anxiously to see their favourite team being crowned as the champion. We have spoken with the teams involved in the Play-offs, and they are not only aligned to our decision but have backed and supported our decision,”, the statement further added.
If the PSL 2023 final is affected by rain on March 18 too, the match will be resumed on the next day which is the reserve day. If the final is not able to take place on March 18 due to bad weather, the game will take place on reserve days. Multan Sultans are one of the finalists for the PSL 2023 final. Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi will play the Eliminator 2 match on March 17 (Friday) and the winner will be the other finalist.
