IPL 2023 is expected to be an intriguing tournament. IPL is returning back to the home & away venues system after 2019 where the last 3 editions were affected due to Covid-19 Pandemic. Former RCB skipper Virat Kohli would be keen to win their maiden IPL championship. Kohli had a scratchy IPL 2022 where he scored 341 runs in 16 matches.
RCB doesn’t have a good record at their home ground Chinnaswamy Stadium as scoring is quite easier on that track. Skipper Faf du Plessis would be tested as this time we will witness competitive wickets. RCB had made it to the playoffs in the 2022 edition but couldn’t get over the finish line.

Virat Kohli on AB de Villiers & Chris Gayle
Virat Kohli was asked about reuniting with AB de Villiers & Chris Gayle at the RCB Unbox event on 26th March.
“It’s gonna be historic, it’s one of the things we discussed as an idea first. When the IPL goes back to Bangalore why not honor two of our Legends (AB de Villiers & Chris Gayle), do something with them, and then have a practice session where all people can come & watch. Do something that was actually close to my heart. It’s coming together nicely now,” said Virat Kohli.

“I can’t wait to be back with them, the trio back after a quite some years. It will be a nostalgic moment for the fans which they will cherish & enjoy. I think they deserve to see all 3 of us on the stage. We played some very strong special innings for RCB. We played together for so long & I can’t wait for it,” he added.
Great Chance for RCB
Michael Bracewell’s inclusion in RCB can do wonders for the team as he has got sheer hitting ability. RCB can also use Michael Bracewell as the pinch hitter as he can play a breezy cameo. RCB should use Wanindu Hasaranga smartly as his 4 overs are quite decisive where he can fox the batters with his variations.
It would be interesting to see whether Finn Allen opens the batting along with Faf du Plessis as Finn Allen has got a wide range of shots. All eyes would be on Glenn Maxwell as Maxwell needs to perform according to his credentials. In the IPL 2022, he scored 301 runs and was not upto his mark.
