A few Delhi Capitals players – Chetan Sakariya, Ripal Patel, Aman Khan and Pravin Dubey unveiled the official jersey before a group of underprivileged children from the Savera Association became the first beneficiaries of the Delhi Capitals IPL 2023 jersey.
Deconstructing the new jersey, Delhi Capitals a lighter red tone of the vermillion colour family has been used around the shoulder region to signify a fresh and fierce beginning. A bolder, medium dark shade of cyan-blue which represents liveliness, energy and youth has been used on the remaining areas of the jersey. The ‘DC Tigers’ signifying fearless attitude and courageous approach in the face of every challenge ahead feature in the middle of the jersey.

The official Twitter handle of Delhi Capitals also posted a picture featuring David Warner, Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw sporting the new jersey.

Speaking about the new jersey, fast bowler Chetan Sakariya said, “I really like the feel of the jersey. We are currently working on our fitness and all the players have come into the DC camp after playing in the domestic season. Everyone is in good form.”
Meanwhile, batter Ripal Patel said, “The energy in the Delhi Capitals jersey launch event was really good. The new jersey is well made. The mood in the Delhi Capitals camp is great and we are preparing well for the upcoming IPL season.”

The Indian Premier League 2023 season will begin on 31st March 2023. The Delhi Capitals will be up against Lucknow Super Giants in their season opener in an away game on April 1 2023.
Warner will be leading the side in the absence of Rishabh Pant who has been ruled out of the 16th edition due to his severe injuries following the fatal car crash in December. All-rounder Axar Patel has been named as the captain of the Delhi-based franchise.
