The left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc bowled a brilliant spell during the second ODI between India and Australia at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, March 19. Mitchell Starc troubled India batters and picked up his ninth five-wicket haul in the 50-over format to restrict the opposition to a low score in the second ODI of the three-match series.
The 33-year-old gave Australia a brilliant start by dismissing Shubman Gill in the first over of India’s innings after opting to bowl first. Starc struck twice in the fifth over of the first innings, dismissing Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav. Starc dismissed in-form batter KL Rahul for just 9 runs. He was unplayable in his first spell and picked up four wickets in six overs.

The visitors bowled out the Men in Blue for just 117 runs inside 26 overs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer in the hosts batting lineup with 31 runs off 35 balls, including four fours.
Earlier, the visitors made two changes to their lineup from the previous game, with Alex Carey and Nathan Ellis replacing Josh Inglis and Glenn Maxwell. The hosts also made two changes to the playing XI. Rohit Sharma, who missed the first ODI due to family commitments, replaced Ishan Kishan, while Shardul Thakur was replaced by spin-bowling all-rounder Axar Patel.
