Former Pakistan Spinner’s Huge Warning To Indian Batting Maestro

Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli showed signs of coming back to form in the fourth and final Test against Australia as he scored a mammoth 186 from 364 deliveries. He showed immense discipline during his innings not getting tempted to play risky shots and maintaining patience during his innings.

However, in the first ODI against Australia, Kohli could not bat long and was dismissed for four off nine balls. India chased down the target of 189 inside 40 overs but Kohli’s problems against the moving ball early on in his innings was exposed once again.

Mitchell Starc dismissed him for the first time in ODI cricket pitching the ball very full and committing Kohli to play across the line to his full swinging delivery. The Indian batter was found plumb in front of the wicket with the umpire ruling him out. He took a chance by taking the DRS but the on-field umpire’s decision was upheld.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has had his take on Kohli’s mode of dismissal and the impact it could have in the World Test Championship final against Australia in June. He also warned the BCCI to take T Natarajan as a net bowler for the WTC final to allow Kohli to practice against a left-arm pacer as his preparation.

“Virat Kohli isn’t comfortable against left-arm pacers when the ball nips back. He will have to practice to face Mitchell Starc in the World Test Championship final. The team management should bring in left-arm pacers like T Natarajan as net bowlers,” noted Kaneria in a video shared on his YouTube channel.

KL Rahul Has Dealt A Major Setback: Danish Kaneria

Danish Kaneria further spoke on KL Rahul and opined on the team management’s misuse of his potential as a cricketer. Rahul was dropped from the last two Test matches. He made a brilliant comeback scoring an unbeaten 75 and adding an unbeaten 108-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja (45*) taking India to a win in the process. Rahul has already scored two fifties batting at number five in ODIs this year.

“KL Rahul has dealt a major setback. He was dropped from the Test team and he knows that he will have to deliver now and have to be very sensible. Dropping someone is never the solution. You need to fix the problems. He looked very composed today and the Australian bowlers couldn’t hit his pads as he was getting behind the line of the ball” suggested Kaneria.
